Bethany has felt called to healing as both her life’s work and purpose. Her journey began with a deep belief in the power of food and nutrition to transform how we feel, and has since expanded through training as a birth doula, registered nurse, and herbalist, ultimately leading her to become a family nurse practitioner, earn a doctorate in nursing, and achieve certification as an Institute for Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner. Over more than 30 years, each step has added a new lens and a deeper understanding of how the body heals—and how people can truly thrive. This passion led her to found Synergy Integrative Wellness, where she brings together conventional medicine, functional root-cause approaches, herbal wisdom, and lived experience to support each individual’s unique journey.
Believing that no two paths to wellness look the same, Bethany finds her greatest joy in drawing on all she has learned to offer a deeply personalized, integrative approach to care.
Elaine Meder-Wilgus has been a passionate foodie for decades while focusing on her business, Webster’s Bookstore Cafe in downtown State College, PA since 1999. As someone who eats a plant-based diet, she knows the power of food in fostering wellness in her own busy life and works to help others find the same joy she knows! A creative chef, she celebrates the variety of plants available in nutrient-dense meals. Elaine completed her certification with Food Revolution Network to be a Whole Food Plant-Based Health Coach. Passionate about changing our toxic food culture, she is excited to share beautiful meals with guests and is always happy to answer questions.
